3 Reasons to Encourage Dialogues in Workplaces
Trust yourself and your own abilities but also listen to others. Previously decision makers could afford to rely on the expertise of other leaders, however, with today’s disproportionate number of people looking to move on from their current jobs, decision makers need to start understanding people management practices themselves to enable the company to operate long-term.
One of the suggestions is to trigger this transformation through encouraging dialogues where senior leaders are put a target to understand the root causes of current employee disengagement.
Here are 3 reasons to encourage dialogues:
1) Dialogues eliminate the elements of hierarchical pressure and build relationships. In this case both sides are involved and they exchange views and opinions which has better chances of leading to a healthier outcome than “because I have said so”.
2) Consistent dialogues lead to collaborate and continuous communication which doesn’t distract the focus from organisational goals rather than personalities.
3) Having dialogues means you are trying to get to reach the best solution and with each communication you shape your vision and logistic.
There is so much unsaid in companies due to lack of a collaborative culture and that on its own can greatly demotivate personnel. Stream your power through encouraging dialogues in your workplace authentically and with the focus on the goals, don’t straight away say “because I said so” …it is easy…
Why else do you think we need more dialogues?
